Christina N. (Junior/Summer Intern ‘06): I just wanted to say thank you again for letting me be a part of your fantastic program. I am now even more certain that I want to pursue casting as a career (and of course writing on the side). You guys did a great job with the Guest Speakers I learned quite a lot. The Pitchfest was so interesting to me, as you can tell I can go on and on about me experience. Again, I appreciate your dedication to the program – it helped me to confirm that this is the path I want to take.

Trevor K. (Junior/Summer Intern '05): Thank you so much for the program. If you had not created the ISI program, I would probably have stayed on the East Coast this summer. We've been treated with such incredible amounts of respect by the people on set, and everyone thanks us and is grateful for us. My plan was that I intern for free this summer and then work for money next summer. I printed out everything that was in NY and LA, everything that looked interesting, and yours (ISI) was a full page, which was more than anyone else. I went to the web site, I read it over, and then we talked and emailed. I was afraid it wouldn't be legit, it could have been anyone who makes a web site and wouldn't do anything, but you actually did, which is really good. It (the ISI Program) gives you the confidence to come out here. I've been looking for internships since September of last year. I went to five books on internships and photocopied a hundred pages. Looked at NY and LA. Looked at websites that would say the location and what it is, like film or advertising or whatever. Made a huge spreadsheet and just highlighted the ones I liked and asked the Career Center print out information on it. I applied to at least ten, sent my resume to ten, in NY and I heard back from one and they said sorry they didn't have the opening. The (ISI) program was a great stepping stone for me and I want you to know that I will recommend it to any film students looking for a way to get started in California. Thanks again, and I hope to see you both next summer!

Kat A. (Senior/Summer Intern '05): It's actually really awesome not having to worry about housing out here. The (housing) was wonderful. I still plan to come out to LA no matter what and hopefully I'll get a decent job and be able
to take you and Richard out to lunch!

Derrick F. (Junior/Summer Intern '05): I kind of wanted to use this, this is my plan, to use summer as a launch pad and this (the ISI program) is great. Back in the spring, I kind of wanted to work on a television show or something like that; maybe I'll get some experience in New York. Before I came out here I was so scared of meeting "The Producer", like oh my god he's going to be this and that, and then you came in the first day and you're like "All right guys, what's up?" And I've learned so much more than I thought I'd learn, I just thought people wouldn't take the time to teach us stuff, I definitely learned too much. My dad, he's not much of a risk taker, but he'll be really happy when I come back and tell him. I'm only a junior, so I still have a lot of stuff to learn, but I'll have more fun with it (back at school) because of my experience out here. I know what I'm doing now.

Ariele L. (Senior/Summer Intern '05): I just wanted to thank you again for everything you've done this summer--from placing me at my internship, to the weekly meetings, to taking me to the writers' pitch. I had an incredible two months in LA, and I owe a lot of the credit to you. Everyone I worked with was so great, they changed my misconception that everyone in the entertainment industry is malicious and cutthroat; the experience/internship itself was invaluable and it confirmed for me that this is indeed what I want to do; and, I'm not going to lie, the free catering on set was so good. The program is great, so I can't wait to see where you've taken it in five years. I'm so glad I had the opportunity and the honor to meet you this summer, and hope to hear from you soon. I'll be in touch. Thanks again.

Lincoln L. (Producer): I got a call from another producer and he said to me "The five interns are your guys, right?" And I said, "Yeah", and he said, "They rock!"

Amanda J. (Senior/Summer Intern '05): It (the ISI website) caught my attention because it said "Do you want to come out to LA?" and I said yeah, yeah I do but I don't know how to get out here and live and stuff. So when I read that it was all together, the housing, I was like yeah, that's really cool but there is no way that's really true, but it is. The fact that you responded to me, very punctually, every single time, and that you took the time to talk to me and mom on the phone for an hour, that showed me that you were legit.

Art F. (President, June St. Entertainment): In our business everything is the last minute, crisis management, and Amanda, she stepped up. She got into searching for songs and doing lots of research, coming up with a lot of ideas actually that I wouldn't have thought about. She was a hit.
